5 Week “All Female” Cycling Program
Sept 13 thru Oct 23, 2010

Have you always wanted to learn to cycle outdoors but don’t know where to begin? Have you taken enough “spin” classes and now feel ready to see what a real ride feels like? Would you enjoy training with a supportive group of motivated women? Are you looking to lean out your body while learning a new sport?
With smart and structured training anyone can do it. And with a fun, positive experience, lead by patient experts, you will be riding in no time. This program is geared towards the beginner cyclist, yet is extremely comprehensive and thorough. A road bike is necessary for this course, but the Team Lipstick coaches, along with our partner bike shops (and their discounts!), are happy to assist.
Laura Cozik is the Founder and CEO of Team Lipstick, NYC’s largest and most successful all-female triathlon team with chapters in Washington D.C. and New Jersey. She is also a USA Triathlon and USA Cycling certified coach. Together with elite level cycling coaches, plus experts from local bike shops, Laura will launch the most comprehensive program of the highest quality for first time cyclists.
Athletes will meet 3x per week for 5 weeks. That’s 15 training sessions! There are 3 specialty lectures as well – Cycling Guidelines and Safety / Nutrition for Endurance Training / Tire Changing and Bike Maintenance. The program ends with a final “Graduation Ride” over the George Washington Bridge.

This program is extremely comprehensive. You will learn everything you need to know to start training like a real cycling team. Fall is a beautiful time for riding outdoors, but we also train year round. And let’s not forget how much fun we’re going to have. Your coaches will create exciting and different experiences for you within each training session. When you start cutting back on late nights, or un-healthy eating, when you are disappointed because the rain cancelled your ride, when your body starts to lean out, and when you fall in love with cycling as a sport…we’ll know that we’ve done our job well .
