Laura Cozik is the Founder and CEO of Team Lipstick, New York City's largest and most successful all female athletic team. She has a background that includes 20 years of dancing, 20 years as a fitness instructor, 10 years as a nationally ranked ballroom dance champion, and since 2006, she has been an active triathlete. Laura was published in New York Magazine's "Best of New York" as one of the city's top fitness instructors, as well as in Competitor and Triathlete Magazine for her accomplishments with Team Lipstick.
In 2010, Laura became the first Athletic Director for CNN’s Fit Nation Triathlon Challenge, where she created and managed the training of Dr. Sanjay Gupta, leading him to complete his first ever race at the New York City Triathlon. Laura also developed training programs and appointed coaches for CNN’s staff and select viewers from across the country. Laura held this position for 3 years, appearing on CNN multiple times over the course of her involvement as CNN’s in house triathlon expert.
Team Lipstick has expanded their business over the years to host co-ed, destination training camps for triathletes, cyclists, runners, swimmers, yoga enthusiasts, strength training addicts, and athletes who just simply want to participate in "Fit and Fun" travel with like minded people. In 2014 Team Lipstick will visit Spain, France, Italy and St Lucia. Come ‘Get Racy’ with us!!

Matt has been coaching for Team Lipstick since its inception. His stellar running and overall athletic talent make him an extraordinary role model for his athletes. Matt’s competitive accolades span numerous sporting activities such as track, cross country, 5k thru marathon distance running, cycling, triathlon, wakeboard, water-ski, and crew. As you can imagine, he doesn’t sit still very well. In his inaugural year of racing triathlons he placed first in his age group at the NYC Triathlon, beating out 368 other competitors. Nice to be born with it! He is currently competing in road racing and triathlon, including his first Ironman race, which he completed Summer 2013. Matt is attending medical school at NYU, while continuing to train our amazing athletes. His caring yet no nonsense coaching style has proved quite effective for Team Lipstick.

Sara was the very first member to sign on with Team Lipstick in May, 2008. Immediately she excelled for her strength on the bike, her competitive swim background, and her natural leadership qualities. Sara crossed her first triathlon finish line and was completely hooked. After 3 seasons of racing, and acting as big sister to her teammates, she became Head Coach to Team Lipstick’s Beginner Team. Sara loves coaching and is quite passionate about transforming women, both mentally and physically, into fit, confident, goal oriented athletes. And she loves the team for the way in which the women continuously encourage one another. You’ll never see Sara without her Get Racy red lipstick!
Michael is a lifelong athlete with a strong passion for running. He grew up participating in multiple sports, both as an individual and through team sports. Michael has competed in numerous marathons including New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Berlin. This season he will race Boston, Chicago and for the fourth time, New York City. Michael is also an accomplished triathlete, racing everything from Sprint thru Ironman distance. This season he’ll race Lake Placid for a second time! With a solid, knowledgeable background in running, sports nutrition, heart rate training, lactate threshold, VO2, as well as strong race strategy methods, Michael will be an outstanding run coach for the athletes of Team Lipstick.
This sentence should tell you a lot about him… “I ran 681 times for 4,232.39 miles between 2008 and 2012 with 1,100 of those miles in 2012”. Besides having a ridiculously large volume of run training under his belt, he also kept track of them to the tenth of mile for the past 5 seasons. Y’all better be on your game with this one!

Tara Parsons began racing road and track in 1995. She raced for TEAm Lipton, Team Aquafina, Team RLX Polo Sport, and Team Nautica Competition. As a new racer, Tara won the Empire State Games Road Race and came in second in the Category 1-4 New York State Criterium Championships. She gathered top tens at the Tour de Toona, criterium, and overall GC, as well as at the Lou Maltese Memorial (Cat. 1-4) and the Harlem Skyscraper Classic (Cat 1-4). In the higher categories she continued her road racing successes winning and placing at the New York State Championship at Bear Mountain, The Tour de Toona races, the Fitchburg Wachusett Mountian Road Race, First Union Christiana Care Cup (a UCI race), Univest Grand Prix, Lou Maltese, New England Road Race Championships at Quabbin, and the Dayton Pro/Am race. She won the North American Master’s (30+) criterium championship and came in second in both the championship road race and hill climb events. Since leaving the sport in 2005 she has gone on to compete in both cyclocross and mountain bike races, winning several events including the UCI ranked Volvo Challenge Mountain Bike race in Israel. Tara currently coaches for Century Road Club Association (CRCA), the largest bicycle racing club in the US. She is also Head Cycling Coach for Team Lipstick NYC.
Cat 2 in Road Racing

Beth Renaud has been racing her bike since 1996. She is a Cat 2 road racer, as well as an occasional cross racer. Beth has won races such as the Union Vale Road Race, the Hartford Criterium, the Westfield Road Race, the Monson Road Race, and the Empire State Games Criterium. She has also stood on the podium at several other regional and national level races, including a 3rd place overall finish at the Fitchburg-Longsjo Stage Race. Beth has been a key member of the CRCA/Comedy Central-Sid’s women’s team for many years. She has also been a coach for CRCA’s racing clinics, as well as for A-SIG rides with the New York Cycling Club. Beth just loves riding her bike. She also been known to swim laps and run the occasional 5K.

Lisa's athletic career began at a very young age both in the pool and on the soccer field. She remained a dual sport athlete until high school where she focused her efforts in the pool. She received a scholarship to swim Division I at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. Lisa was on the Academic All-Patriot League Team and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of her four years at Lafayette. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA and Honors in Mathematics and Economics. After college she moved to NY to pursue a career on Wall Street where she spent seven years as a bond trader at BNP Paribas. Lisa credits her years in the pool as the foundation of her strength not just physically but also mentally. She believes that spending hours in the water forces you to be comfortable in your own skin. Lisa believes that one achieves growth when you can use your mind to challenge your body and use your body to strengthen your mind.
